1. 我等會(huì)兒順道去你家把你的東西給你。
I will drop by at your house and give your stuffs to you.(×)

這個(gè)句子中，順道去…順便拜訪…可以直接使用 drop by somewhere。

需要注意的是：drop by后面不能加介詞短語(yǔ)，可以直接“地方”，比如：drop by your place, drop by your office。

也可以用stop by和swing by來(lái)表示。

而“順便把東西給某人”，可以用drop off。這個(gè)短語(yǔ)很地道，可以表示“把某個(gè)東西送到某個(gè)地方”或者“把某人送到某個(gè)地方”例如：

Just drop me off at the next intersection.
就在下個(gè)路口把我放下吧。

所以“我等會(huì)兒順道去你家把你的東西給你。”這句話正確的說(shuō)法應(yīng)該是：

I'll drop by your place and drop off your stuff later.

2. 我們一起吃晚飯，聊聊近況吧。
Let's have dinner together and talk. (×)

"talk"這個(gè)詞就是you use spoken language to express your thoughts, ideas, or feelings.意思是談話，說(shuō)話，講話。和聊聊近況還有點(diǎn)差距。

聊聊近況，敘舊，我們有個(gè)很簡(jiǎn)潔的詞：catch up。例如：

I promise you to catch up with you later.
我保證晚點(diǎn)跟你聊聊近況。

如果catch up 后面跟具體的人，要用介詞with。例如：

和某人敘舊 catch up with sb.

聊聊彼此的近況 catch up with each other

所以“我們一起吃晚飯，聊聊近況吧。”這句話正確的說(shuō)法應(yīng)該是：

Let's have dinner and catch up.

Let's catch up over dinner.

3. 你能把剪刀遞給我嗎？
Could you please hand me over that scissors? (×)

這句英文錯(cuò)就錯(cuò)在，犯了“意象思維”的錯(cuò)誤，“遞給…”意象性的理解為“hand over”。但其實(shí)hand over的意思是把…上交給某人。例如：

Hand over the phone to the teacher.
把手機(jī)交給老師。

如果表示“把…遞給某人”可以說(shuō)：

Hand sb. sth.

Hand sth. to sb.

Pass sb. sth.

Pass sth. to sb.

所以正確的說(shuō)法是：

Can you pass/hand me the scissors?

Can you pass me those scissors?

4. 你要這個(gè)平板干嘛？
What do you need the tablet for? (×)

首先我們先好清楚“用…做…”可以用 “want…for…” 或“need…for…” 。如果對(duì)for后面的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行提問(wèn)，相對(duì)應(yīng)的特殊疑問(wèn)句就應(yīng)該用what引導(dǎo)�；蛘卟挥媒樵~for, 疑問(wèn)詞用why。

Why do you need this tablet?

正確表達(dá)：你要這個(gè)平板干嘛？我們可以說(shuō)：

What do you want the tablet for?

注意不要所有的平板都用“iPad”來(lái)表示哦，iPad只是眾多品牌中的一種。

5. 我整晚都在寫(xiě)這篇論文。
I cost whole night writing this paper. (×)

“花費(fèi)…時(shí)間”我們可以說(shuō)：Sb. spend some time on sth. 例如：

I spent two hours on this puzzle.
我花了兩個(gè)小時(shí)做這個(gè)拼圖。

或者spend time doing…

I spent two hours solving the puzzle.

或者 it takes sb. some time to do sth.

這個(gè)拼圖花了我兩個(gè)小時(shí)。It took me two hours to solve the puzzle.

而一般不使用cost。Cost主要表示花費(fèi)錢財(cái)，或者付出一定代價(jià)。例如：

It cost me a lot to get there.
去那里花了我不少錢。

所以“我整晚都在寫(xiě)這篇論文。” 這句話正確的說(shuō)法應(yīng)該是：

I spent the whole night on this paper.

I spent the whole night writing the paper.

I worked on this paper the whole night.

I was writing this paper the whole night.
